Injuries, police stations and vampire kisses in week 6 of filming "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse"
"Twilight Saga" actress Ashley Greene officially joined Twitter this week, and posted that filming of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" was halfway done. Filming of the adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's best-selling book Eclipse (the third book in a four-part series) is moving swiftly along in Vancouver, B.C. -- and Portland Books Examiner has been following the entire process.
This week was particularly busy -- with crews all over town. One of the most hyped sets was the "Forks Police Station" -- where lovebirds Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) meet up with her father, police chief Charlie Swan (Billy Burke). There were reports about this scene in The Vancouver Sun, Lainey Gossip, at Malicious Mandy's blog, Twilight-Gossip, Socialite Life, TwiFans and more.
According to Lainey Gossip, the scene involved:
“Bella” and “Edward” drive up in his Volvo. She’s all curious about sh- and demanding to know everything and he’s being cagy with his answers because what she doesn’t know might hurt her because she’s so fragile and pathetic and then “Charlie” comes out and they talk about the airline ticket and going away together.
Fans will remember early in the book, that Edward wants Bella to use an airline ticket voucher to visit her mother in Florida. He's particularly insistent -- and she accuses him of keeping something from her. It's only after they return from Florida that she learns what he was hiding.
Of course, photos from this particular day of filming included more shots of Bella and Edward driving in his Volvo -- and fans are now pretty certain that it's black, not silver (as it is described in the book and how it appeared in the first movie).
Lainey also reports that members of the Wolf Pack were also involved in filming this week:
Earlier this week, Pattinson was shooting vampire fights on the second unit while the main crew filmed Stewart with Taylor Lautner’s “Jacob” and his boys and Leah’s transformation is revealed.
Blogger Malicious Mandy has more details about that particular set, involving the wolves. Later in the week, Lainey reports that crews filmed the bonfire scene -- in which the Quileutes share some of their stories with Bella. Actor Gil Birmingham (who plays Billy Black) shared a photo on his facebook account of himself with Stewart and Lautner:
In other news from the "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" set was that actor Jackson Rathbone (who plays Jasper Hale) was injured while filming. His rep confirms he went to the hospital as a precaution, but it appears he was back on set and back to work without any serious damage. Greene also tweeted that he was doing okay.
Meanwhile -- fan frenzy for the second movie in the series, "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," is growing. This week, the LA Times released some beautiful behind-the-scenes photos from a dream sequence in the second movie. People magazine also published a preview of The Twilight Saga: New Moon Official Movie Companion book, which will hit store shelves October 6th.

Eclipse director David Slade also tweeted about what he was working on earlier this week:
Blogger Malicious Mandy also expands on what may have been filmed on the day mentioned in Slade's tweet, noting that Pattinson, Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Jackson Rathbone and Ashley Greene were all spotted on set that day. She theorizes:

Taylor Lautner Charmed Selena GomeZ
Selena recently revealed she hooked up with Lautner earlier this year in Vancouver while he was shooting New Moon and she was filming Ramona and Beezus.
“He is so sweet. Taylor has made me so happy. I didn’t know I could be that happy. You probably see it in the pictures! I’m smiling so big.”
“We would go out to lunch and dinner, but I knew he had paparazzi following him and I had paparazzi following me. So we literally just wanted to hang out, go bowling and stuff, and it went a little too far, I think. People were getting a little crazy about us.”
“But it was fun — I went to Vancouver thinking I was going to focus on my work, but instead I got to meet him, and it ended up being the best thing ever,” she adds.

Sam's house
Report from the set:
"I have gone to this "Sam's House" and took some photos I will post at some point... but now we have this "Emily's House" rumour, and "Leah's transformation" scene and "Jacob" and "Bella" and the "wolfpack" on set...If I didn't know who was there I would say it looks like it could have been used as the Cullen House, however, they already have a great Cullen House from New Moon so I don't see a need to change it... it just feels to big and new to be on the reserve!!! Though if it was strictly interiors and done right (movie magic) it could be anything!"
Cheers Mandy.
